Who is Melissa Galbraith?
Melissa Galbraith is the fiber artist behind MCreativeJ. She was born and raised in the desert of Washington state, where her mother instilled a love of making things by hand at an early age. Drawing on her love of nature, Melissa creates whimsical and modern embroidery patterns and kits. She loves making the art of hand embroidery easy and approachable with her embroidery kits, patterns, and workshops.

Melissa needs a creative outlet and loves that embroidery allows her to play with texture and color and that it's a portable craft. Along the way, Melissa found that many crafty minded makers also wanted to learn how to embroider but were daunted by where to start. Thanks to this and a love of teaching, Melissa began to share her embroidery knowledge. Melissa's embroidery kits and patterns make it easy to learn a new craft for makers of all skill levels.

She enjoys seeing makers fall in love with the needle arts, especially that magical ah-ha moment of learning something new.

What are MCreativeJ’s products?
MCreativeJ specializes in modern nature inspired embroidery kits and patterns. Melissa believes hand embroidery should be easy and fun, which is why we offer a wide range of kits and patterns for makers of all skill levels.

Yes I did. I was excited to be back in person at trade show and see so many old friends and companies I work with.

Falcon Art Supply in Montevallo, Alabama is celebrating Ten-Years-In-Business, managing to survive the recession, a major reworking of the streetscape of Main Street that forced them to bring in their business through the back entrance, and the pandemic.

Store Manager Becky Cox Rodgers and her sidekick Fossy the art store dog, have made sure that it serves the university as well as the community at large.

She enjoys custom framing and enjoys helping customers find just the right materials for their art. “It’s not just watercolor, graphite or oil anymore. There is so much mixed media now. People are doing things that have never been done before and helping them find what will work best for them is kind of neat and keeps me reading and up to date on materials.”

October is National Arts & Humanities Month (NAHM)—a collective recognition of the importance of culture in America. NAHM was launched by Americans for the Arts more than 30 years ago as National Arts Week in honor of the twentieth anniversary of the National Endowment for the Arts and National Endowment for the Humanities. In 1993, it was reestablished by Americans for the Arts and national arts partners as a month-long celebration, with goals of:

FOCUSING on equitable access to the arts at local, state, and national levels;

ENCOURAGING individuals, organizations, and diverse communities to participate in the arts;

ALLOWING governments and businesses to show their support of the arts; and

RAISING public awareness about the positive impact of the arts and humanities in our communities and lives.

Americans for the Arts Action Fund has launched its ArtsVote “Make Your Vote Count” pledge campaign with artwork designed by renowned contemporary artist and Americans for the Arts Artists Committee member Shepard Fairey. We have created customized State Voter Factsheets for every state and U.S. territory to provide the latest updates on all the new election rules and deadlines created post-COVID-19. Take the pledge to make your vote count today, then gain access to high-resolution images of Shepard Fairey's artwork in either English or Spanish. You can then celebrate being an ArtsVote champion by posting an ArtsVote graphic of your choosing on your website and social media platforms with a link to your State's Voter Factsheet! All ArtsVote resources are available at

September 1, 2022 - The business environment today is constantly changing. Retail has always been a dynamic environment, but as we’ve all experienced, it can be more challenging today than ever before.  Most companies are looking at strategic options to manage risk and add more value to the marketplace. With those goals in mind, we are excited to announce that Creative Sales Consulting and The Burgess Group are merging their teams and operations in a strategic acquisition effective October 1, 2022!

The company will continue forward as Creative Sales Consulting, combining the strengths of both teams and creating one of the largest sales agencies in the Creative industry with the broadest reach across retailers.  The blended Creative Sales Consulting (CSC) group will work with Michaels, Hobby Lobby, At Home, Dollar General, Popshelf, and Target with the CSC Team in Texas, and will work with Walmart and Hobby Lobby with the CSC Team in Bentonville. In addition, CSC will have an even broader reach through strategic partnerships on the East Coast that provide relationships and connections with Joann Stores, Five Below, Big Lots, Family Dollar, and Dollar Tree.

With offices in multiple locations, we will provide suppliers with a single agency option to manage sales at a large group of retailers. By combining the vast retail sales experience and relationships of the CSC and Burgess Group professionals, CSC clients will have access to opportunities at more than 60,000 store locations. Retailers will benefit from a broader view of the market with additional insights from that perspective.

The combined team will work with synergy and teamwork with servants’ hearts, always striving to exceed expectations. The primary focus will continue to be to build and grow relationships and to identify opportunities for suppliers and retailers to grow business profitably.

Creative Sales Consulting will continue to be led by Clint O’Rear, President and Owner, and Vicki Jinks, Vice President.  Bob Burgess will serve as a Strategic Adviser for the next two years, assisting Clint and Vicki with the transition and helping with strategic initiatives.

We have planned and prepared to ensure a seamless transition with minimal disruption.  If you are currently a client of the Burgess Group, you will still be served by the same people in the Bentonville office. They will now also be supported by the resources, systems, and processes from CSC Texas, along with additional support staff that will be added to CSC Bentonville soon. All current clients of Creative Sales Consulting will continue to work with the same Sales Team in Texas. For everyone involved, new levels of synergy and opportunity will be exciting to consider and discuss over time.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve you! We look forward to continuing to grow together and will be in touch soon to coordinate logistics and planning and answer any questions you may have.

Here to serve,
Clint O’Rear, President and Owner
Vicki Jinks, Vice President
Bob Burgess, Strategic Advisor
