Support your Local Artists and Crafters
by participating in
'Give The Gift of Local Art'

Each year every local community offers a range of craft fairs and art shows during the holiday season through its schools, churches, art galleries and other organizations. Public attendance at these events strengthens these important community organizations, and supports the local artists who create the goods.


This year, global supply chain shortages will impact normal holiday purchasing as many items are found to be out of stock! This creates a unique opportunity for our industry to encourage consumers to buy local goods, in turn supporting our artists customers and our own businesses. 

Together we can leverage our industry resources to drive public attendance at holiday art and craft fairs and shows. 

Namta Members and their customers can join together to promote a unified “buy local” campaign through their websites, social media channels and email lists, driving the public to attend local events.

After 55 years of successful stewardship of the FREDRIX® brand, Michael Benator and the John Benator Family of TARA Materials, are pleased to announce the sale of FREDRIX Art Materials. TARA has found domestic private investors who are committed to FREDRIX and eager to invest in the future of this respected and storied, independent American brand.

Michael Benator, CEO of TARA Materials commented, “After 37 years of serving the amazing art materials industry, I am extremely confident of the character and achievements of the new owners. I cannot be more excited for the future direction of FREDRIX and the entire organization. In practical terms, business will continue as usual. David Twite remains President of FREDRIX Art Materials along with Ashley Lee as the National Sales Manager and Mickael Morel the International Sales Manager. Daily customer interaction will continue to be handled by Pat Allen and her incredible customer service team.
