An artist's work is a direct reflection of the dedication of the manufacturers who make their tools. Many art materials suppliers are master craftspeople, toiling for years on just the right color of paint, the texture of a canvas and the feel of a brush. The better tools an artist uses, the better the outcome of their work. Suppliers must also work directly with retailers to educate them on using and selling the tools.

One of the primary groups of focus for NAMTA, The International Art Materials Trade Association, is suppliers. Suppliers consist of manufacturers, distributors, importers and publishers (magazines, newsletters, etc.) Our goal for supplier is: “That art materials suppliers grow in sales and profitability through sharing knowledge and working cooperatively with retailers.”
