Member Programs

Convention and Trade Show
NAMTA’s annual convention and trade show gives retailers the opportunity to view hundreds of exhibits from manufacturers all over the world. Attending the show saves you time by providing one-stop shopping as you find out what’s new in the industry, complete all your purchasing for the year and network with other members. NAMTA members attend the show for free, and educational seminars and social events are reasonably priced. Click here for more information.

Consumer Campaign
With our consumer website, www.artmaterialsworld.com, NAMTA encourages consumers to experiment with art by providing valuable information on tools, techniques and how-to projects. Consumers can use the "Find-A-Retailer" function on the site to locate NAMTA member stores.

NAMTA's Art Month in October is another way to raise awareness about art to consumers. Each year, NAMTA provides members the tools to create events and in-store activities to publicize Art Month.

NAMTA will also provide you with marketing and public relations tips to reduce advertising costs for your business. Use our stock and sample press releases to get your company coverage in local and regional media outlets.

Mentor Program
New to the industry or looking to add another store? We can set you up with a mentor to guide you through the process of starting or expanding your business. NAMTA will provide the necessary resources while your mentor helps with business strategy, finance and inventory. Industry veteran? Get involved by volunteering to be a mentor and helping to grow the industry.

Product Knowledge and Employee Training
NAMTA's "Art Materials Essential Reference Guide" is a CD-ROM that not only serves as a retail employee training guide, but as a comprehensive reference on art materials for everyone in the industry.
