NAMTA Board Approves New Dues Formula for 2013

Recently we, the NAMTA Board of Directors, approved a new 2013 dues formula for the association.  This new dues schedule was presented for comment last May at NAMTA’s Orlando Trade Show and the information has been shared via NAMTA’s eNewsletter.

This is the first, major overhaul of the dues schedule in nearly 20 years.

The NAMTA Dues Task Force and Board of Directors analyzed dozens of potential dues formulas with the objective of bringing “dues equity” across all categories of membership in addition to increasing benefits and ensuring NAMTA’s long term stability.  

Needless to say, the past few years have been challenging for our industry but your Board is pleased to report that NAMTA is strong and focused on growing all aspects of your association.  

The number of “buying companies” has increased the past two years at the annual trade show and retail membership also increased this year. Additionally, a variety of great idea, training and educational products are being introduced along with several “partnerships” designed to save you money on business expenses like office supplies and health insurance.

NAMTA’s bi-weekly eNewsletter continues to be a good source of information and we encourage you make sure all of your staff receives it. Also, NAMTA will soon launch another bi-weekly communication product with extended news about the art and art materials business.
