Questions for Eligibility
These questions are designed to help you pre-screen your eligibility for a grant and to save you the time and effort of completing and submitting a request if the likelihood of approval is low.
1.       Is this request for scholarships or funds to pay for taking a course or courses to further or pursue a career in the visual fine arts? (If yes, you are not eligible for a grant, but may apply under the Visual Fine Arts Scholarships Fund.)
2.       Is this request for financial aid in a crisis situation where art, artists or art related enterprises are damaged by natural or manmade damage or destruction? (If yes, you are eligible for funds under this grant program, but you will be competing for funds with requests for projects, programs or courses that are designed to advance the arts.)
3.       If this request is from an artist or an organization for a specific piece of art work, to either complete or acquire, approval is unlikely.
4.       Will this project promote and advance the arts to the general public, or provide research to identify, quantify and/or define the economic and/or social impact of the visual fine arts? (If yes, this is more closely aligned with the purposes of these grant funds.)
Criteria
All grant applications are reviewed and decided on by the NAMTA Foundation Trustees based upon:

• Available Funds
• Number of requested grants
• Feasibility of the proposed project
• Impact of the proposed project upon the community and/or the promotion of the fine arts.
