Visit the Past

Remember JR Ewing? For those of you who are old enough to have been a fan of the hit series Dallas from 1978 to 1991 (or maybe you caught the reincarnation in 2012), you might want to take a trip down memory-lane and visit the South Fork Ranch which is approximately 30 miles north of the Convention Center.




The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealy Plaza is located within the former infamous Texas School Book Depository building where you'll find chronicles if the assassination of President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963. It's about a mile from the Convention Center.

The Ginger Man Uptown pub has a beautiful upstairs library-style lounge and outdoor balcony, and a comfortable beer garden in back.

The Craft and Growler was founded by a husband and wife team who quit their careers as patent attorneys, and jumped into the beer business by creating a place where you can bring home growlers of local and regional microbrews that are not bottled. They carry a large selection of growler, and a huge assortment of beer-related stuff.
