Who IS eligible to attend the show?
The NAMTA show is open to the art materials trade only. Attendees include dealers interested in seeing and purchasing artist’s materials from manufacturers, importers, publishers and distributors.

What are the dates for 2018 Art Materials World - where will it be?

March 4 - 6, 2018 in Dallas, TX

How do I register for a badge?
Online Registration will open in November of 2017.

NAMTA is co-locating with CAMEX for the 3rd year. Who is CAMEX?
CAMEX is the Campus Market Expo, the largest trade show in the collegiate retailing industry, attended by more than 1,000 college stores and 2,000 buyers from around the world.

Where is the host hotel?
Hyatt Regency Dallas

Will NAMTA provide a shuttle to the Convention Center?
Shuttle service will run between the Hyatt Regency Dallas and the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center throughout the week. Shuttle hours will be posted a both the hotel and the convention center.

What is the cost to attend?
  • NAMTA MEMBER - FREE.
  • RETAIL NON-MEMBER -  $750 per person
  • SUPPLIER NON-MEMBER (manufacturer, distributor, importer/exporter) - $1,800 per person

  • Non-member badges are per/person and are for all 3 days of the show
  • Non-members badges registered as a NAMTA member company will be voided
  • Notification of voided badge status will be sent to registrant by email
Why should I register in advance?
  • Advance registration is free for NAMTA members
  • Onsite Registration fee can be $30
  • Onsite registration can take longer than just picking up your badge
Will I be able to bring my child to the show?
No. Due to safety concerns and the business environment of the show floor, no one under the age of 16, including infants, will be permitted in the exhibit hall or left unattended in the NAMTA Registration area.

Who IS NOT eligible to attend the show?
  • Consumers
  • Artists
  • Any company or individual not involved in the art or creative materials trade
  • Non-exhibitors selling on the trade show floor
  • Art educators
  • Suppliers to the exhibitors
  • Any company or individual looking to sell their services to exhibitors
  • Infants and/or anyone under the age of 16 will not be permitted in the exhibit hall or left unattended in the NAMTA Registration Area

Will I receive my badge in the mail after I submit my advance registration form?
No. Once you have registered, you will receive a confirmation via mail, email or fax. The confirmation will reference any tickets purchased for educational sessions and social events. Please bring the confirmation with you to the registration desk at the show to claim your badge and tickets.

  • Altering, or lending your badge to anyone, is strictly prohibited.
  • Show attendees are not permitted to wear badges issued to exhibitors.


Will I need to show identification when I come to the show?
You may be asked to present proof of employment with a company involved in the art materials industry. Acceptable forms of company identification include:

  • Personalized company business card
  • Company paycheck stub or cancelled payroll check
  • Company insurance card or ID with employee and company name
  • Company credit card with employee and company name
  • Employee W-2 form
Are cameras and/or video recording devices allowed on the show floor?
  • No. Many of the new products displayed at the show are prototypes. To protect the rights and interests of our exhibitors, written permission is required prior to taking any photographs with any form of equipment including camera, digital camera, video equipment, and cell phones. Permission may be obtained at registration. All security personnel are aware of this rule. Violators run the risk of having their equipment confiscated and ejection from the show floor.
